Research topics

The LBMC carries out a series of research projects to explain the molecular basis for the functioning and programming of cells (division, proliferation, apoptosis, senescence, differentiation etc.). Each LBMC team works on a specific area, with the aim of integrating various aspects connected with signalling, compartmentalisation, traffic and genetic and epigenetic regulation. To achieve these objectives, various experimental models are used: yeast, zebrafish, drosophila, nematode, blood cells, primary cultures of human cells, tumours and lines of cancer cells.
